Cozy Read Fit For A Night In.....or Not

I found a new book that I just started reading and will probably finish by tomorrow morning, that is if I can stop laughing for a few minutes.

18297707Tangled by Emma Chase
I have to say that even though I have just begun reading this book, Emma Chase is a BRILLIANT author. This book is full of nonstop laughter, though a bit on the 18 and over side. (Just a warning to any young readers) however, for all you lovers of romance and haughty arrogant male leads and girls who wont give them the time of day until they become all pouty, well this is for you.

And watch out, it's in the guy's POV as opposed to the girl's. It's just amazing to see the inner working of a playboy. Who knew they could actually fall in love.... and what they do is pretty hilarious!

I guess I won't be sleeping tonight! (Oh and if you click on the title and follow the link...scroll down to the review...you wont be disappointed by the comical and gut-bursting gifs)

Now off to go read!!!

I mean it's about time, right!?

Kristy's February and Mid-March Wraps

Okay, so I must apologize for my lack of posts for a while...and thank Judith for making up for that (isn't she Amazing!?)

It has been a weird couple of months and honestly I haven't read much, mostly due to school and work and lack of ability to get out of bed.
February I started to read a few books and I had a list of awesome ones I wanted to get through, especially for the Wicked Valentine's Read-A-Thon I had been doing at the time. I finished one book out of the 5 that I had on my list.

The Devil Wears Kilts - by Suzanne Enoch

This was actually a fun read, especially f you are obsessed with the Highlands and Men in kilts, and Scotland, and Men in Kilts, and history, and romance, and did I mention MEN in Kilts? Okay, I may be a little obsessed, but who can blame a girl when you imagine these gorgeous god-like men wearing absolutely nothing but a kilt!? Oops..sorry I know, I know...keep it PG!

Anyway, on to March. It has been pretty much the same as February and I haven't read much at all which is really pushing me back on my 50 reads for the year.

However, despite the lack of reading, and due to all my studying, let me just share that I made the "Dean's List"!!!!! So there you go, now you know how crazy my study habits have been.

On the even brighter side...I have picked up another book, or two and starting the beginning of April, Judith and I will be doing a Spring Cleaning Sequel Read-A-Thon (the first week of April). We'll be reading the sequels to some of our book series that we have been meaning to read. No better time to get spring cleaning with some reading! (Wow, I should probably rethink my life.)

I'd love to hear from all you lovelies and if you have any questions or ideas or anything at all, leave us a comment!

Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy & My Bucket List

Hey lovelies!

I am bringing you a really fun post today! I'll tell you a little about a wonderful new book coming out soon, about the lovely author who wrote it, and I'll be sharing my own personal bucket-list! :)

TITTLE: Side Effects May Vary
AUTHOR: Julie Murphy
CATEGORY: Young Adult
RELEASE DATE: March 18th, 2014

What if you’d been living your life as if you were dying—only to find out that you had your whole future ahead of you?

When sixteen-year-old Alice is diagnosed with leukemia, her prognosis is grim. To maximize the time she does have, she vows to spend her final months righting wrongs—however she sees fit. She convinces her friend Harvey, whom she knows has always had feelings for her, to help her with a crazy bucket list that’s as much about revenge (humiliating her ex-boyfriend and getting back at her arch nemesis) as it is about hope (doing something unexpectedly kind for a stranger and reliving some childhood memories). But just when Alice’s scores are settled, she goes into remission.

Now Alice is forced to face the consequences of all that she’s said and done, as well as her true feelings for Harvey. But has she done irreparable damage to the people around her, and to the one person who matters most?

Julie Murphy’s SIDE EFFECTS MAY VARY is a fearless and moving tour de force about love, life, and facing your own mortality. ~Goodreads

MY OWN BUCKET LIST:

The first thing on my bucket list is to dig up real dinosaur bones! Ever since I was a little girl I have LOVED dinosaurs and fora very long time I contemplated becoming an Paleontologist. I decided not to due to a number of circumstances but I have never given up hope that one day I will be able to volunteer on a dig site! To be honest, I would probably pass out if I touched a real dinosaur bone!

My second goal on my bucket list is to learn to speak at least 5 languages fluently! Languages have always been a huge passion of mine. Currently I speak fluent English and Spanish, conversational French and Japanese, and beginners Korean and Arabic. I am currently attempting to focus solely on French for sometime so that I can work towards that fluency goal! :)

This is a pretty random one but I would love to spend a day working with penguins. I am so fascinated by them and not to mention they are SOOO adorable! I know there are some Aquariums around the country that have programs that allow you to do this. This one is more of a matter of saving up and having the time.

Fourth on my bucket-list is travel the world! Okay, I know that is pretty broad but I truly just want to see as many places as I can. I have traveled to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Korea, and Japan. Allowing yourself to be immersed in a culture, its language and its people is a beautiful thing. I REALLY would like to visit Ireland, Australia, Vietnam, Egypt, Iceland, London, and so many many more!

Last on my bucket-list is to collect currency from all over the world! I have a bag full of bills and coins from various countries that friends and family have given me. I love looking at the coins and seeing the subtle differences that distinguish each country. To be able to hold a little piece of that country holds me over until I have the means to travel some more!

Okay, so this by no means is my full bucket list! I could write 20 posts and still not get through it all but these are some of my top ones and the closest to my heart!  I think a theme throughout is exploring and learning new things. I think life and the world has so much to offer and I intend on spending everyday learning something new!
